Originally from Sydney, Glenn began his career at the Balmain Cricket Club. During his time there he represented NSWschoolboys and NSW U15s. At 19 he joined the Armed Services where he was selected for Queensland Army (1 Division) and the Australian Combined Services team. Upon leaving the Army he travelled extensively playing cricket in Brisbane, Cairns, Perth, England, Scotland and Singapore. Osteoarthritis of the wrist forced his retirement in 1996whereupon he worked in the cricket media and as a private batting coach before joining the TCUSA in 2011
